Increased international attendance, a large willingness to invest and a strong interest in systems solutions characterized the 19th SECURITY event. 42,000 trade buyers from 113 countries traveled to the show to see the products of more than 1,075 exhibitors. Substantially more visitors traveled from abroad than in previous years. Amongst the exhibitors, the foreign proportion was 46% - a new record too.

The exhibitors were quite impressed with not only the internationality of the show, but also the high expert quality and their willingness to invest. Almost 90% of the visitors play a crucial tole in making decisions within their companies.

Many innovations were presented at Security, especially in the biometric areas. Access control has greatly reduced the risk of impersonations. HD technology is much more developed now in video surveillance, which ensures a higher resolution and better image quality.

The 2nd annual Security Innovation Award was presented for a company manufacturing a pioneering innovation in the security industry. Among the winners were an infrared system which recognizes individual people and their admission rights.

In many companies, the responsibility in corporate security are merging, the responsibilities for employee security, fire protection and IT security are all in one hand. More and more system solutions and an overview of all security subjects are being demanded.

This year again, there was a separate hall for fire prevention. In this one hall alone were over 100 companies showing the entire range of constructional, installation technology and mobile fire protection. In total, more than 230 companies with solutions for fire protection were represented at Security.

Products at Security include surveillance equipment and technology, burglar alarms, access control, IT security, border control, armored vehicles, fire alarms, fire prevention and much, much more..
