It appears that the decision to change the dates of IPM from the usual Thursday through Sunday to Tuesday through Friday was the right decision. The show attained an even greater internationality and quality with nearly the same amount of visitors. More than 57,000 trade visitors from all over the world came to IPM.
IPM has again proven to be the international central meeting place for all horticultural experts. More than 1,500 exhibitors from 43 countries presented their products. Ilse Aigner, Federal Minister of Agriculture, praised IPM as "international, innovative and diverse." National pavilions from Belgium, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Turkey and the United States can all be found at IPM.
There are many events and shows taking place during IPM. The Green City in Hall 1A will offer the visitors pioneering product information, strategies for sales
promotion and a comprehensive overview of the worldwide floral trends and tendencies. The Federal Trade Association of German Florists will invite visitors to four days full of inspiring floristry ideas with national and international
stars of the scene. The BGI Trade Center in Hall 1 will be the meeting and trading place of international cut flower production.
Producers, importers and wholesalers will provide information about their products and new innovative
services. In the Horticultural Info Center, the BVE - Federal Association of Retail
Gardeners will, , show attractive plant combinations which can be
proposed to customers as suggestions for planting.
Products at IPM include, plants, seedlings, fertilizers, trees, cut flowers, floristry products, greenhouse technology, and shop design.
Flowers
IPM Tech Moscow joined the already existing
"Flowers" trade show for the first time last year. 22 exhibitors took part in the IPM section, joining the 700 international exhibitors in the Flowers section. The show will present all
aspects of the green industry with the IPM Section concentrating
on technology. The next Flowers IPM Tech will take place at the All-Russian Exhibition Center in Moscow from September 2 - 5, 2010.
IPM
China has quickly established its place in
the Asian market. Since it's premiere in December 2006, IPM China
has grown to over 200 exhibitors and more than 8,500 visitors. This exciting
event which takes place in Foshan, China, is now an annual event,
The dates and venue for the next IPM China are still in discussions.
In March of this year,
IPM Dubai took place
again with WOP Dubai - the World of Perishables for fresh fruits and vegetables. Over 3,600 visitors from 63 countries attended the fair which is the most important show in the Arab Region. The visitors came from
all the important target groups such as plant production, wholesale
and retail trade as well as horticulture and landscaping. More than 240 exhibitors from 22 nations presented their products which included plants, technology, floriculture, sales promotion as well as plants care and logistics. The next IPM Dubai and WOP will take place from September 26 - 28, 2011. |
