For
the first time ever, Messe Essen organized a welding show in Moscow,
Russia. The Schweissen & Schneiden Russia trade show took place
in May this year and was an overwhelming success. Messe Essen joined
up with Messe Düsseldorf to organize the Schweissen & Schneiden
Russia, which joined 5 shows already taking place in the same exhibition
center at the same time. The Wire & Tube, Metallurgy/Litmash,
Aluminium, SHK Moscow and Technoforum (metal working) trade shows,
which attract 500 exhibitors and more than 20,000 trade visitors
now welcomed Schweissen & Schneiden Russia as well.
The Welding section of
this show produced 123 exhibitors and of the 32,000 total visitors,
4,250 specifically came to see the latest in welding products The
halls were fully booked and so were the conferences organized by
the DVS - German Welding Society. The 2 day conference on the future
of welding technology was completely filled showing that Russian
specialists have an enormous need for information.
The concept of the Schweissen
& Schneiden Russia is to provide a technology forum with an
integrated presentation of innovative technologies, equipment and
peripheral. In addition, a presentation of modern welding processes,
workshops and a range of papers on practical aspects took place.
The show was held at the
Krasnaya Presnya Expocenter, one of the most important trade fair
venues in Russia. With more than 143 million inhabitants, the Russian
Federation is one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
Analysts predict dynamic economic growth in Russia in the coming
years.
Our office, together with
the AWS - American Welding Society will be organizing a US Pavilion
at the next show in 2008. Check back to this space for more information
as it becomes available.
